Closing for Clothworkers Guild funded improvements

Well, we are all very excited for the imminent improvements to the workshop. Walls are going, equipment is coming and new extraction to ensure healthy lungs! All the exciting changes within the workshop are thanks to the recent funding awarded to us by the Clothworkers Guild. Their appreciation for the quality of hand-printed textiles created within Printworks will hopefully benefit all our workshop users and continue the diverse work produced.

We will be closed to the public from the 25th October 2010 for two weeks, reopening on the 8th November 2010.

Staff will be around thoughout the two weeks to take calls and answer emails, to ensure a smooth reopening for all our workshop users.

If you would like more information on the work we are doing, or if you would like to book in to the new improved workshop contact us at info@londonprintworks.com

About London Printworks Trust

London Printworks Trust is the centre of excellence for textile print. Our passion has continued for twenty years since establishing ourselves as a charity to encourage professional artists, designers and emerging talent to learn, to share ideas, to produce new work and to fulfil their creative potential. Through our specialist hand printing equipment and workshop facilities we support and nurture creativity in people from the local community of Brixton, and across London. We are developing a new programme of residency places, courses, talks and new open access in response to the changes to funding. We appreciate and thank the support from our Board, Volunteers and Freelancers, without whom we would not have survived the changes to our funding. Continued support from The Leverhulme Trust and Lambeth also helps us to make a difference.
