London Fashion Week: Spring / Summer 11

Only one more day before the notorious London Fashion Week starts its glamorous cogs for the second time in 2010.

All of the staff and our wonderful workshop users have been busy little bees printing exciting new prints ready to be admired (probably while we all sleep and recover for the next round!)

Many exciting names have been padding round the workshop including Meadham Kirchhoff, b Store, Louise Gray, Heikki Salonen, and Draw in Light. So please do look out for their collections and some lovely bit of hand screen printing.

We wish we could show you sneak peaks at the new work for Spring Summer 2011, but for now you’ll have to make do with some lovely images from Natascha Stolle A/W09, Louise Gray S/S10 and Heikki Salonen s/s10 which were also all printed here in our workshop.

About London Printworks Trust

London Printworks Trust is the centre of excellence for textile print. Our passion has continued for twenty years since establishing ourselves as a charity to encourage professional artists, designers and emerging talent to learn, to share ideas, to produce new work and to fulfil their creative potential. Through our specialist hand printing equipment and workshop facilities we support and nurture creativity in people from the local community of Brixton, and across London. We are developing a new programme of residency places, courses, talks and new open access in response to the changes to funding. We appreciate and thank the support from our Board, Volunteers and Freelancers, without whom we would not have survived the changes to our funding. Continued support from The Leverhulme Trust and Lambeth also helps us to make a difference.
